Hi, I’m Meghan Dwyer.

EMPOWERING MOMS
who work hard for their money
to take control of their money mindset
by gaining the increased confidence
and clarity needed to stop playing small, and start living life on their terms.
I’m a Certified Money Coach® and host of the ‘Money Isn’t Scary’ podcast. After spending 15 years watching women take a passive role in the management of their money, I’m on a mission to help them stop playing small. By challenging the societal norms around women and money, I aim to empower women to make money decisions out of a sense of abundance and confidence, rather than scarcity and fear. As your money coach, I will work with you on an on-going basis to support you and help you to stay on track and accountable to creating the changes you desire.
When I’m not working, I love running, writing, and being a mom to my two young boys.

Money mindset matters, especially for working moms
I know that managing your finances isn't just about numbers—it's about the emotions, experiences, and beliefs tied to your relationship with money.
Do you ever experience these all-too-common feelings around money?
Lack of Support
Navigating money mindset challenges alone can be isolating, especially because as a mom, time is sometimes a luxury. Many moms don’t have a strong support system to discuss money fears, and thoughts of scarcity for fear of judgment. This lack of support can make it harder to break negative money patterns and develop a healthier relationship with money.
Retail Therapy & Emotional Spending
The emotional demands of motherhood can lead to stress and burnout. Retail therapy often becomes a socially acceptable quick fix to cope with these feelings, but it can lead to overspending and guilt. The cycle of emotional spending can be hard to break without addressing the underlying emotional triggers.
Under-Earning & Career Sacrifices
Many moms face career interruptions or choose part-time work to balance family responsibilities. This can result in under-earning and a feeling of not reaching their full potential. The struggle to negotiate fair pay or pursue higher-paying opportunities can be daunting, especially when self-worth is questioned.
Guilt & Buyer's Remorse
Do you ever feel a wave of guilt after treating yourself, especially when you think of all the ways the money could be used for the kids or household? Maybe you splurged on a new outfit, only to be haunted by buyer’s remorse soon after. These feelings can be debilitating, making you second-guess your decisions and feel unworthy of your purchases.
Deep Money Wounds
Imagine you're at a holiday family dinner, and the conversation turns to finances. How do you feel? Do you get knots in your stomach? Feel embarrassed or shameful? Want to quickly change the subject? This common situation can bring up old wounds and negative feelings about your financial situation, even while you’re raising your own family.
The key to overall financial happiness lies in simplicity
and intentional thinking.
Financial anxiety does not limit itself to households in need of money. It affects both the rich and the poor and is a very real problem that stems from the way we think about and interact with money.
When our spending is not in line with our core values and goals, we become unbalanced both financially and emotionally.
Financial stress affects all aspects of our well-being and often creeps into the most important relationships in our lives. Many people live in a state of denial assuming that their financial situations will eventually work themselves out over time.
The reality is that deliberate steps are needed to achieve both our personal and financial goals. A decision to empower yourself through financial independence is an essential one.
Why Money Coaching?
“Working with Meghan on my money mindset is the best investment I've made as a business owner. Our work together was so insightful and revealed a lot of subconscious ‘baggage’ that I didn't even realize I was carrying with me into business, marriage, and even motherhood. Working with Meghan truly changed the trajectory of my life, my ongoing success, and my relationship with money."

The Money Isn’t Scary Podcast
I help women just like you and I, explore their fears around money and inspire each other to be financially empowered.
In my podcast, ‘Money Isn’t Scary’, I’m removing the taboo around money and helping women rewrite their money stories so they can stop staying small and begin living life on their terms.
It’s time to unpack the beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors that aren’t serving us anymore.
